In this trait a forelock 4 to 6 inches long is present. The hair is usually finer than that of the rest of the head and may be more wavy than the rest. Stoddard (1939) described a family with affected persons in 4 generations. At least 1 skipped generation involved a male. Catatrichy is less evident in men than in women.
